Project MKULTRA

When I meet a female, most of the time I get to thinking after a while, "damn that girl is crazy". Then, other times, bitches be trippin'...

Lysergic acid diethylamide

In the 1950s the US Central Intelligence Agency began a research program code named Project MKULTRA. Experiments included administering LSD to CIA employees, military personnel, doctors, other government agents, prostitutes, mentally ill patients, and members of the general public in order to study their reactions, usually without the subject's knowledge.

The Hills Are Black

Bird's Eye, Deadwood

Couldn't tell you who took this photo of me? Hail storm during the Sugar Bear/Lichter Ride. The five to ten minutes of ice bombing on Nemo Road was worse than all of the other 2011 riding storms combined, welts and blood. Blasted through it, it was fantastic.

Decker's Exhibit - Lichter Building - Buffalo Chip Campground

My best friend Kurt and I. Crazy K, as we call him, just started riding. Bought a Deuce, almost robbery for the price he paid, and has been hooked ever since. Guy is the shit, life-of-the-party type, I'd take a bullet for him. Once he gets his feet wet with some stock I'll turn him to the dark side.

Tay Herrera

While I'm on the subject of engraving, here's footage of Tay Herrera's work in motion. I met Tay about four or five years ago, which he most definitely doesn't remember or care I'm sure(I believe in Spokane during the Next 100 Years of Motorcycles event?), before I knew a damn thing about metal engraving. His work is top notch, like CJ, I can only hope to be as accomplished as either of the two. Amazing work, with a hammer and chisel.

...got the video off of the Go Away Garage blog.

Speaking of CJ

One of the coolest covers of all time if you ask me. Fucking bad ass. Dude tells it how it was and how it should be.

The engraving class I took at CJ's home last Feb, great time. I learned a lot of engraving knowledge that would've taken me years of mistakes and crappy work to aquire. Not only that, but I was surprised at how well I got along with CJ. To tell you the truth, the three days went by way too fast, I didn't want to leave. CJ offered me to stay longer, but I had other arrangement to see family on my trip home. I put CJ at the top of the list as far as influences on me, along with a few others. He's definitely one of a kind.

Been working on a promo video for CJ and his class. Shot footage while I was there, but it's taking me a lot longer than I expected to put something together.... Soon.

Nothin' Too Fancy

Been keeping the engraving pieces simple. This being my sixth piece, I wanted to make something more noticeable for Rich to have in the shop, other than the smaller flying eyeball I did at CJ's. The next piece I've sketched out is much more complex and raw.

My first engraving, carved up at CJ Allan's house last February during the three day grub and a bunk class he offers. I can't say enough about CJ, just hanging with him was worth the trip and money...

New Direction

A little something I made up for Rich. He's been taking the shop in a different direction, changing the name and working on his latest, personal creation here in Denver. Something that has been a long time coming, but worth the wait and patience.

This is halfway through my engraving process...
